Design professional specialized in connecting human-centered problem solving and persuasive communication
I am a strategy and design consultant with a proven ability to clarify complex concepts and communicate them in a way that educates and engages diverse audiences. I have applied those skills in a diverse range of contexts, including designing a persuasive trial presentation that won a $521M verdict, developing a pop-up event sharing insights on a decade of data on homelessness in Washington state, and creating a digital public resource to encourage innovation in charitable giving services.
I address all of these challenges with an interdisciplinary and human-centered approach to problem solving that emphasizes divergent thinking, creative collaboration, and visual processing and storytelling. I use this perspective to help make the complicated simple in order to build consensus among relevant stakeholders and drive strategic decision-making.
Central to my problem solving approach is my innate curiosity and keen interest in connecting ideas from seemingly disparate sources. This allows me to comfortably generate direction and momentum in ambiguous, open-ended problem spaces. I also draw on my skills and experience in problem framing, idea generation, visual thinking, creative storytelling, and qualitative research.
I have applied these skills successfully for over a decade while managing high profile client relationships and leading interdisciplinary teams. I employ an iterative design approach aimed at building consensus and bringing clarity and simplicity to complex problems.
